Skyler Gisondo Skyler Gisondo, 17, has landed a lead role as Ben Stiller‘s son in Shawn Levy’s “Night At The Museum 3,” according to a report by The Wrap. He also joins returning star Robin Williams as Teddy Roosevelt and Dan Stevens as Lancelot.

Other than the fact that it will be set in London, England, the plot details for “Night at the Museum 3″ are still being kept secret. However, as seen with the previous two films in the series, you can expect Stiller’s museum security guard Larry Daley to have more crazy adventures with various historical figures.

It’s also important to note that Jake Cherry played the role of Daley’s son Nicky in both 2006′s “Night at the Museum” and 2009′s “Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian.” In addition, he voiced the role in the film’s video game. The reason for why he is not returning remains unknown.

Production Weekly reports that filming for “Night at the Museum 3″ is set to begin in February of next year in both Vancouver and London. The film is scheduled for a December 25, 2014 release date in North America and followed a day later by the U.K.

Gisondo is no stranger to being on set of big budget films. He previously played Howard Stacy, Gwen Stacy’s (Emma Stone) younger brother in last year’s “The Amazing Spider-Man.” He has also had previous roles in Jake Kasdan’s “Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story,” Rob Zombie’s “Halloween” and Seth Gordon’s “Four Christmases.” In addition to reprising his role as Howard for “The Amazing Spider-Man 2″, he will also be seen as the lead Sean Nalaboff’s romantic comedy “Hard Sell.”
